2. Data collected and when

We only collect the data needed for the request you send us:

  • Contact / quote form: name, email, phone, company, business sector, products of interest, message.
  • Appointment request: name, email, phone, company, preferred date and time slot, format (on site, phone, video call), message.
  • Invoice order: name, email, phone, company, delivery address, purchase order reference, items and quantities.
  • Card payment: order and payment data are processed by Shopify; Biovalys never receives or stores your card details.
  • Newsletter subscription: email and, where provided, first and last name.
  • Customer review: name, role, company, rating and comment.
  • Audience measurement: page viewed, traffic source, device type, browser, operating system — aggregated, with no advertising profiling.

3. Purposes

  • Handling your request: quote, advice, appointment, order, invoicing and after-sales service.
  • Sending you Biovalys news and cleaning tips (newsletter). Every message includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
  • Meeting our Swiss legal and accounting obligations.
  • Improving the website and the relevance of our content.

4. Legal basis

Processing is based on the performance of the contract or pre-contractual steps (handling your request), on our legitimate interest in informing our business customers about our products and cleaning advice, and on our legal obligations. You may object to the newsletter at any time without affecting how your request is handled.

5. Processors

We use the following providers, solely for the purposes described above:

  • Resend — sending our transactional emails and the newsletter.
  • Supabase — hosting the database and form submissions (data hosted in Europe).
  • Shopify — processing orders and card payments.
  • Google Maps — displaying the map on the contact page (third-party content).

6. Transfers outside Switzerland

Some providers may process data in the European Union or the United States. Such transfers rely on recognised safeguards (standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions). We never sell or rent your data.

7. Retention periods

  • Contact, quote and appointment requests: kept for the time needed to handle them and for the duration of the business relationship.
  • Order and invoicing records: 10 years, in line with Swiss accounting obligations.
  • Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe; the address is then kept on a suppression list so that we no longer write to you.
  • Visit statistics: kept in aggregated form for audience monitoring.

8. Your rights

Under the revised Swiss Data Protection Act and, for people located in the EU, under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and, where applicable, port your data.

To exercise these rights, write to contact@biovalys.ch. We reply as quickly as possible and within one month at the latest. You may also contact the competent authority (in Switzerland: the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner).

9. Unsubscribing from the newsletter

Every newsletter contains a one-click unsubscribe link — no reason and no sign-in required. Your address is immediately removed from our mailings and passed to our email provider to be deleted from the list. You can also write to contact@biovalys.ch.

10. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in a database with restricted access. Only authorised Biovalys staff access it, as part of their duties.

11. Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect legal or technical developments. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this page.
